What a full NSS year looks like for a student in our two units — from enrolment to the special camp.
Breaking down the 120 hours
Regular + Camp + Record
The NSS year is not a single event. Volunteers commit 120 hours of regular service across the academic year and complete one residential special camp. Every hour is logged; every activity has an outcome.

Semester 1 — induction & regular service
Induction, campus orientation, first assignments. Cleanliness, plantation, awareness rallies — programme officers onboard every volunteer.
Semester 2 — community projects
Literacy, health, sanitation and village-neighbourhood work. Team tasks begin: survey, presentation, reporting.
Year-close — Special Camp
A seven-day residential camp in the adopted habitat. Living alongside the community, delivering a shared programme of work.

- Tree plantation and nurture
- Blood donation & health awareness camps
- Literacy, tuition and reading promotion
- Road safety, first-aid, disaster preparedness briefings
- Swachh Bharat implementations
